Best Western Gateway Grand

Great hotel where we stayed for one night during our road trip from Miami to New Orleans. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. The breakfast was great, with a good variety, and the outdoor warmed jacuzzi was a really nice bonus to enjoy in the morning/evening. Overall, it offers a very reasonable price for what is provided, making it excellent value for money. Would definitely stay here again if passing through Gainesville.

What a delightful stay for me and my 2 children! The hotel is nice and quiet being tucked away off the main road. The room is very clean and cozy. The breakfast was great and the omelette bar was so so yummy!!!!

This place is beautiful! Right off the highway and tucked away perfectly. The staff and manager are the best! The rooms are immaculate and smell amazing. This was a great spot to unwind and relax for the night. The entire family felt safe and comfortable.

The rooms are very nice and super clean. Breakfast has a lot of choices. The made to order omelette was delicious. The Gator den sports grill restaurant on the property. Very reasonable prices and great food. This hotel is very nice.

We stayed for one night and we were looking for some important aspects in a hotel. Friendly and efficient check in- check Clean bed- check Good breakfast- check, omelet station a big plus. Good coffee- check Reasonable price- check Clean shower and towels- check For all this the hotel deserved a 5 star rating !! But now some little details This is not a hotel, it is a museum. If you want your cell phone attached grandkids to know how you spend time in a hotel when JFK was announcing the challenge of reaching the moon, this is it !!! The furniture is straight from the 60's, so is the art ( or the lack thereof). Even the room configuration is typical for the 60's. After entering the room, you have the bathroom to the left, one sink and the toilet and shower behind another door. No fluff there. Next is the living room with a jetson style sofa couch with your grandfather writing desk, yes writing desk!! Next is the bedroom, comfortable bed, clean sheets and pillows. The last upgrade of the room,Was the A/C unit, probably from the 80's. The discomfort is that the A/C blows straight into the bed, but for a dutchman, that is not an obstacle. We build likes for water, so we can build dikes for cold air. Use the extra pillows. And last but not least the TV situation. It is fairly large and has a great brightness. No complains there, except the location !! Since you need to share the TV with the Jenson sofa couch,the TV is strategically placed in between and to far for each !! My last suggestion is get 2 TV's We enjoyed and had fun visiting the hotel museum. We would come back for sure !!!! Why stay at a modern hotel with shitty breakfast and no personalized service!! Love it !!

This hotel is CONSISTENTLY one of my most pleasant hotel stays. The staff is excellent: the greeting and information at the main desk is always polite and efficient, the hotel is always clean - rooms, hallways, and stairwells included, the breakfast is the BEST anywhere - including omelets made to order at the omelet station! I often drive cross country twice each for work and I can honestly say this is my favorite place to stay.

The hotel looks like a castle when you drive up! The pool and hot tub were nice and the breakfast with an omelet station was amazing! The only complaints I have are the bathrooms need some updating, like using the correct toilet seat, and using a fully encased waterproof bed cover for the beds! While I was checking for bedbugs, like I do at every hotel I stay in, the mattress pad didn't fit the whole mattress and the mattress itself was disgusting with stains! The sheets were mostly clean but also had stains. The rest of the hotel looked great, especially with the holiday decorations that looks like someone spent a lot of time putting up! Still, convenient and good prices for a quick night's sleep! I've stayed in worse places for more money. Front desk employee was very helpful and friendly!
